Window To Another World
Via Flickr:
Mixed Media
The walls of the world as we know it peel back to reveal a window unlike any other - dare you look through the glass into what lies beyond our realm?

The Stern Chicken
This is a picture of my chicken called "Autumn." She's lovely but I managed to capture her looking sternly at the camera.
She doesn't really mind the camera as Autumn is very tame.

Warmth of Loneliness
I love this piece, especially the warmth amongst the somber tones and the simplicity. When I look at this image it convey emotions such as innocence and naivety.

Red Poppies
Well its raining again....here is a photograph I took before the rain set in yesterday.
I love the colours and textures that can be seen in this photograph. I was hoping that the rain would let up so I could get out there and paint them!
I'm trying to work on getting my portfolio together today

Henrietta The Buff Orpinton
I also need to mention "Hetty" who is my friend's rather lucky chicken as she has been rescued from the jaws of a fox....literally! Hetty also managed to escape an attack by an Alsation that tore through my friend's chicken coop. Unfortunately she was the only survivor, the incident upset my friend so much that he asked whether I would look after her for a while until he could rebuild his chicken coop and rethink the dog/fox proofing as he lives way out in the Country near a wood. She has settled in well and is doing fine now.

Startled Chicken
This is "Fall" one of my chickens, she is very curious and I love this photo of her. I rescued "Fall" and "Autmun" from a local farm when they were little chicks a year ago where they seemed to be falling behind the other chicks and not doing as well. I took them home and they are now fully grown healthy little chickens - they bring me so much Joy!

New Website - www.decayingrosedesigns.com
http://www.decayingrosedesigns.com/
The website is live - I put it together myself so it has taken a few weeks to build but I've managed to create a good clean professional look and a simple website to navigate. I'm very excited that I managed to do it myself as it means I can update the site regularly with my latest works.
Watch this space!

The Warmth of Loneliness
Watercolour on Watercolour Paper
I love the feeling of warmth shining out from the somber colours, lonely yet welcoming at the same time.. I certainly feel that there is an innocence about the piece that suggests a certain naivety of the central character.
